Job Description
What You’ll Do as an Assistant Fabric Manager
As Assistant Fabric Manager, based in India, you will support the sourcing, development, and management of fabrics across one of Primark's key sourcing markets. Working closely with fabric mills, garment manufacturers/ Suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure fabrics meet Primark's requirements for quality, value, sustainability, innovation, and speed to market.
You will contribute to fabric development projects, supplier engagement, market research, and fabric performance initiatives while building solid relationships across the supply chain.



The role requires a strong understanding of textile manufacturing and local market dynamics, enabling you to support fabric sourcing strategies and deliver commercial and operational improvements across multiple product categories. Lead fabric sourcing strategies across Pakistan and regional supply markets, delivering the best balance of quality, cost, speed, sustainability, and innovation.
Manage supplier relationships with fabric mills, yarn suppliers, and garment manufacturers across India and the wider sourcing region.
Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers that can meet business requirements, while supporting supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
Drive fabric sourcing initiatives that improve quality, cost, lead times, sustainability, and innovation.
Support fabric costing and sourcing decisions by gathering market intelligence and assisting with supplier negotiations.
