Consultant Role:
SUMMARY: The role is within Depositary Operations helping to ensure that Northern Trust fulfills its oversight responsibilities under the UCITS and Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD).
The primary responsibilities will be in area of Valuation oversight and Investment Compliance - ensuring that the fund's investment policies are in line with appropriate regulations based on fund type and domicile, and the fund prospectus.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Ongoing monitoring of all regulatory (COLL & AIFMD) and Fund specific requirements for AFMs on a daily/periodic basis; ensuring the delivery of effective compliance monitoring/compliance monitoring plans
- Qualitative asset eligibility assessments (equities, bonds, structured products, derivatives and various corporate events)
- Other risk-related analysis such as liquidity monitoring, derivative exposure and fair value pricing
- Assistance with ongoing developments to Depositary risk management frameworks for industry topics (e.g. ESG, SDR)
- Assistance with Fund Oversight review of scheme launch and change events
