Accountant Iii Job Summary

Under administrative direction, is responsible for assisting the CFO in directing the fiscal functions of the Homeowners Associations, and assisting as needed, for Inter-District Authority and the Community Development Districts, in accordance with accounting standards generally accepted in the United States of America and compliant with GASB, FASB, GAAP, Government Auditing Standards, other regulatory and advisory organizations, as they may apply, and in accordance with appropriate financial management techniques and practices.



The employee also collaborates with and coordinates the work of other professional accounting staff, as well as clerical personnel involved in the overall operations of the Finance Department.

Accountant Iii Minimum Qualifications

B.A./B.S. degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Must be punctual; regular attendance is required.
Must maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
Successful completion of a background check.

Accountant Iii Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of general administrative practices and procedures.
Knowledge of proper business communications.
Knowledge of contemporary office equipment, practices, and procedures.
Skilled in computer operations and pertinent software applications, i.e., Adobe
