About the Role:
We are a rapidly scaling manufacturer of advanced CNC and Laser machinery, aggressively expanding our footprint in the capital goods sector. We are transitioning our product lines toward high-value, high-complexity platforms and are looking for a hard-nosed, technically exceptional Head of Engineering to act as the ultimate gatekeeper for our entire production lifecycle.
In this role, you will hold complete end-to-end operational authority—from designing the next generation of 5-axis machines to ensuring they are flawlessly packed and shipped to global ports.
Key Responsibilities:
R&D; & Product Upgradation: Lead our Recent Product Introduction (NPI) sequence, shifting focus toward high-complexity platforms such as 5-axis CNCs and high-kilowatt Fiber Laser Cutting machines. Drive aggressive backward integration by engineering in-house sheet metal enclosures, electrical control panels,
and indigenous CNC controllers to expand our scale.
Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain: Bypass spot markets by negotiating direct, long-term contracts with global Tier-1 OEMs for critical components. Simultaneously, manage a highly efficient localized Just-In-Time (JIT) vendor network across for secondary engineering components.
Quality Control (QC) Gatekeeping: Enforce strict, non-negotiable QA protocols. Ensure every machine passes rigorous dimensional accuracy checks, laser calibration, and multi-axis ball-bar testing on our floor before dispatch approval.
The Ideal Candidate:
Education: B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering.
Experience: 5+ years in the machine tool, heavy fabrication, or capital equipment manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a multi-department leadership role.
Skillset: Deep understanding of multi-level BOMs (Bill of Materials), ERP systems, lean manuf
