Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Digital and AI Solutions Engineering team, focused on designing, building, and owning backend APIs and services for a next-generation agentic platform for Finance and Accounting operations. The role requires robust hands-on engineering capability along with the maturity to drive technical design, implementation quality, reliability, and production readiness across backend service areas.
This role sits at the intersection of enterprise platform engineering, workflow orchestration, and AI-enabled finance operations. You will work with .NET Core and Python for backend APIs and services, PostgreSQL for data storage, and containerised workloads deployed on EKS.



You will also work with Temporal.io for workflow orchestration and Azure services such as Event Grid, Service Bus, Data Factory, Databricks, Logic Apps, and Blob Storage. You will collaborate closely with AI engineers, backend platform engineers, frontend engineers, and finance domain SMEs, while also guiding engineering decisions, reviewing solution approaches, and mentoring less experienced engineers where required.

Key Responsibilities
Own the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and supporting services in .NET Core and Python that serve frontend and platform needs, connecting UI interactions to orchestration, exception routing, approval workflows, audit trail, notifications, and reporting capabilities.
Lead backend data modelling decisions for PostgreSQL schemas, workflow state, tenant configuration, exception lifecycle records, audit events, and reporting patterns with focus on scalability, maintainabilit
