About the Role
NxtPlay is seeking a senior Salesforce Release Engineer with deep, hands-on Copado expertise to own DevOps and
release management across multiple Salesforce orgs. This is a specialist role: the core of the job is managing Copado
pipelines, promotions, and release cycles while keeping multiple orgs in sync and resolving deployment issues. We are
looking for a genuine Copado practitioner, not a general DevOps generalist.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage DevOps across multiple Salesforce orgs using Copado, including pipelines, environments, and
promotion paths.
• Manage user stories, commits, and deployment artifacts within the Copado work model.
• Configure automated validations, test-level enforcement, and rollback strategies.
• Manage release cycles, including planned releases, hotfixes, emergency fixes, and freeze windows.
• Govern sandbox creation, refresh schedules, and data-seeding strategies.
• Manage forward and backward promotions using Copado while keeping multiple orgs in sync.
• Troubleshoot Copado deployment failures, conflicts, and metadata issues.




• Partner with Copado support and Salesforce teams for upgrades, enhancements, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of Salesforce / DevOps experience, with 3+ years hands-on Copado (firm).
• Proven multi-org Copado experience: pipelines, environments, promotion paths, and org sync.
• Hands-on management of release cycles, including hotfixes, emergency fixes, and freeze windows.
• Experience governing sandbox creation, refresh schedules, and data seeding.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting of Copado deployment failures, conflicts, and metadata issues.
• Experience with automated validations, test-level enforcement, and rollback strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
• Full Copado CI/CD experience (as distinct from Copado Essentials only).
• Copado certification (Administrator or Developer).
• Git and branching-model fluency.
• Familiarity with additional CI/CD tooling (Gearset, Jenkins,
