The Prospect
Our team consists of around 50 engineers across the UK, India, Poland and China. We’re growing our engineering capability in China and are looking for an experienced engineer to work as a senior technical contributor within one of our engineering pods.
As an Associate Director, Software Engineering, you’ll operate as an individual contributor, designing and delivering significant capabilities for HSBC Productivity Suite.



You’ll take complex requirements from initial definition through coding, testing, release and production operation.
This is not a formal people-management role. You’ll spend most of your time on hands-on engineering while providing practical technical direction, removing delivery blockers and mentoring other engineers in the pod.
Job Purpose:
This role will carry out the following activities:
10+years of Min experience.
Spend most of your time on hands-on engineering, writing, reviewing, testing and shipping production code for HSBC Productivity Suite.
Design and deliver significant generative AI capabilities and integrations, owning delivery from requirements through to production operation.
Act as a senior engineer within an engineering pod, making sound design decisions, clarifying ambiguity and breaking complex requirements into actionable deliveries.
