Position: Technical writer (Semiconductor Domain)
Experience: 3 to 6 years
Work Location: Chennai / Bangalore
Requirements:
Excellent English language communication and written skills.
Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3 to 6 years of technical writing experience.
Rich knowledge in Document Development Life Cycle (DDLC), structured authoring, content reuse, and single-sourcing.
Experience in the following content authoring, publishing, and governance tools: DITA-XML, Oxygen XML Editor, Adobe Frame Maker, MS Office, CCMS (Ixiasoft), Fluid Topics (Content Delivery Platform), Snag It, Acrobat Pro, and Service Now helpdesk.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different geographies, able to conduct online meetings in different time zones and collaborate comfortably with members of team from diverse cultures.
Ability to track tasks, actions and provide regular updates.
Ability to create and maintain tasks and documentation trackers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and update technical documentation for end users and service engineers - User's Manual, Upgrade Procedure,



Service Procedures, Site Prep, and Safety Manuals.
Conduct SME interviews with various users and technical/engineering/product staff to gather data for overly complex documentation for hardware applications.
AI in addition to DITA and Oxygen XML
Interface with functional organizations to develop content for the procedures.
Create, develop, and edit operational, instructional, or maintenance procedures for the software applications.
Follow documentation best practices, formats, and templates, and publish output that conforms to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
Support testing and validation of current procedures and methods.
Involve stakeholders from various departments and assess the need to update documentation.
Monitor content quality errors, editorial suggestions, technical changes requested and implement the changes independently.
