We are looking for a Tax Associate – 1040 HNI to support the preparation of complex US individual income tax returns for High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNI). The ideal candidate should have solid exposure to US individual taxation, particularly Form 1040, and experience handling complex tax situations involving investments, multiple income sources, and various states.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review US Individual Income Tax Returns – Form 1040 for HNI and high-income individual clients. Handle complex individual tax returns involving: Schedule A – Itemized Deductions Schedule B – Interest & Dividends Schedule C – Business Income Schedule D – Capital Gains & Losses Schedule E – Rental, Partnership, S-Corporation, and Trust/Estate income Form 8949 – Capital Asset Transactions Foreign income and investment-related reporting, where applicable. Analyze K-1s, brokerage statements, investment income, rental income, and other supporting documents. Assist with tax planning and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.



Prepare federal and state individual tax returns and related schedules. Perform tax research on complex individual taxation matters. Identify inconsistencies, missing information, and potential tax issues during return preparation. Communicate with clients and/or onshore teams to obtain necessary information and clarifications. Assist in responding to IRS/state notices and tax queries. Ensure tax returns are prepared accurately and submitted within prescribed deadlines. Maintain proper documentation and workpapers in accordance with firm policies. Review work prepared by junior associates, where applicable. Stay updated on changes in US federal and state tax laws and regulations. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. 1+ years of relevant experience in US Individual Taxation. Strong hands-on experience with Form 1040. Experience working with HNI / High-Net-Worth Individual tax returns. G
