Job Description – Engineer II (Database Administration)
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad /Pune /Chennai /Kolkata
Experience: 5 to 10 Years
Role: Engineer II
Key Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and support database platforms including Couchbase, Postgre SQL, and Oracle.
Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
Ensure database availability, reliability, backup, recovery, and security compliance.
Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and ongoing operational improvements.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve database-related issues.
Required Skills
5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Database Administration.
Strong experience with Couchbase, Postgre SQL, and/or Oracle databases.
Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and SQL development.
Experience with database monitoring, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities.
Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Exposure to database automation and scripting
