An experienced power system professional with experinece in grid connection studies preferably in Australian market.
Typically, 3-6 years of specific experience in power system modelling field.
Have consolidated experience using relevant software programs (i.e. PowerFactory, PSS/E and PSCAD).
Have consolidated experience in dynamic modelling, model development, generator and network behaviour, and quality-of-supply matters.
Be a recognised technical specialist in the application of advanced power system theory and concepts.
Understanding of Transmission & Distribution (T&D;) utility work practices (or equivalent).
Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to provide power systems planning, modelling, analysis, and advisory services to clients in the power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial high-voltage sectors.
Engage in continuous learning to enhance understanding of market tools and methodologies
Assist in performing power systems and energy modelling analyses
Contribute to data collection, validation, and analysis for power system planning and operational studies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables and project outputs
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent degree able to be accredited with relevant country’s engineering institute (such as Engineers Australia, Institute of Qualified Engineers NZ, etc).
