Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O;) – Technical About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O;) Technical Consultant to design, develop, and deploy custom solutions within the Dynamics 365 F&O; ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of functional business requirements and technical delivery, and is ideal for someone who can lead development efforts, mentor junior team members, and act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy customizations, extensions, and integrations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O;).
Translate functional requirements into technical designs, including data models, workflows, and system architecture.
Develop using X++, C#, .NET, and the Dynamics 365 F&O; development framework (Visual Studio, Application Explorer, LCS).
Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems using Data Entities, OData, Business Events, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus,



and Dual-Write/Data Management Framework (DMF).
Perform code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshooting/debugging of existing and new customizations.
Manage solution lifecycle activities including version control (Azure DevOps), build/release pipelines, and workplace management (Sandbox, Production, UAT).
Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, and business analysts to ensure technical solutions align with business processes.
Lead technical design workshops and provide input into solution architecture decisions.
Support upgrade, migration, and performance tuning activities for existing D365 F&O; implementations.
Ensure adherence to Microsoft best practices, coding standards, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and consultants.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and deployment guides.
