Role Summary
nThe Consultant – Data Governance (Cloud) is a hands-on delivery role within the IDMC Data Governance Practice. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the Consultant configures and operates the IDMC governance and quality tools — CDGC, MCC, CDAM, CDP, and CDQ — to help clients catalog, govern, secure, and improve the quality of their data.

nKey Responsibilities:
nGovernance & Cataloging (CDGC + MCC)
n•Set up the data catalog in CDGC by registering data sources and adding their connection details.
n•Add and organize business terms in the business glossary, and link them to the right tables and columns.
n•Run and monitor metadata scans in the Metadata Command Center (MCC) — pick the source, schedule the scan, and check that metadata loads correctly.
n•Tag and classify data assets (for example, marking which fields contain sensitive or personal data).
n•Help build data lineage views that show where data comes from and where it flows, and use them to check the impact of changes.
n•Assist data stewards by keeping glossary entries,



classifications, and catalog content up to date.
nData Access Management (CDAM)
n•Set up data access policies and rules in CDAM under guidance.
n•Apply masking and classification-based controls to protect sensitive data.
n•Help publish data assets to the data marketplace and manage access requests.
nData Profiling & Quality (CDP + CDQ)
n•Run data profiling in CDP to check data for completeness, accuracy, and duplicates.
n•Build and test data quality rules and scorecards in CDQ.
n•Track data quality results and help fix flagged issues.
nAdvisory & Delivery (Supporting Role)
n•Take notes and capture requirements during client workshops, with guidance from senior consultants.
n•Help prepare solution documents, configuration runbooks, and handover guides using existing templates.
n•Support senior team members on pre-sales activities, estimations, and proof-of-concept builds.
