Job Description – Endoscopy In-Charge / Endoscopy Nurse In-Charge
Position: Endoscopy In-Charge
Department: Endoscopy
Location: Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Endoscopy Unit , ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
Handle patient preparation, pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure care .
Coordinate and assist doctors during various endoscopic procedures.




Ensure proper patient identification, consent, documentation and safety protocols .
Manage the endoscopy procedure room, equipment and accessories , ensuring readiness before every procedure.
Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment as per hospital protocols.
Maintain adequate availability of consumables, instruments and emergency equipment .
Coordinate with Consultants, Anesthesia, Nursing, CSSD, OT and other support departments .
Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, patient records and daily activity reports.
Monitor infection-control practices and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care .
Manage and guide the Endoscopy nursing team, including duty allocation, training and performance monitoring .
Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, NABH standards and infection-control guidelines .
Handle patient/attendant queries and ensure a positive patient experience.
