Role Scope

The following are examples of current and near-term work items. These will shift as the programme progresses and recent priorities emerge. The successful candidate should be comfortable with this ambiguity.
- Develop and deliver CDK TypeScript / CloudFormation infrastructure across multiple SRE streams as priorities shift.
- Execute CMA-based migrations of SRE products to AWS (e.g. ESC, CS, DMS, DI Hub, PM Query).
- Support DataLake-to-Lakehouse migration work — Capacity Statements, SLO Repo, and PM Query components.
- Build and extend SRE CFT constructs: SLO Repository / Status Page, Cloud Resilience Levels, and Resilience Properties.
- Integrate ResHub with the Service Taxonomy (ESC) and SLO repo; support onboarding and centralisation of ResHub for teams firmwide.
- Design and implement cloud-native applications that consume from multiple producers, process data, and persist via APIs/UIs.
- Extend FIS templates and integrate into RefStack code (supporting role — not primary resilience tester).




- Pick up additional SRE workstream tasks as they arise — scope is deliberately broad.

Core Skills

The primary requirement is adaptability and strong general cloud development skills. The specific skill weightings below reflect current needs and will evolve:
- AWS CDK & CloudFormation (Level 300) — Proficient in CDK TypeScript; able to write, review, and troubleshoot CDK stacks and CloudFormation templates for SRE platform components.
- Cloud migration patterns (Level 300) — Hands-on experience migrating applications to AWS using CMA or equivalent frameworks; understands rehost, replatform, and refactor strategies.
- Application design & data processing (Level 200) — Can design applications that consume from multiple event/message producers, process and transform data, and expose results via APIs or UIs.
- AWS services breadth (Level 200) — Working knowledge across compute, storage, networking, messaging (SQS/SNS/Kinesis), and data services (Glue, Athena, Lake For
