Overview

The Business Development Specialist grows Fedstack's client base by identifying, prospecting, and building relationships with federal organizations and regulated enterprises that may hire Fedstack trainees. This role is entirely client-facing: you'll research and qualify prospective organizations, initiate outreach, and move opportunities through a sales pipeline from first contact to signed agreement. You'll represent Fedstack in conversations with prospective client stakeholders and translate the program's value proposition into a compelling business case. Over time,



this role directly shapes how many client organizations Fedstack has available to place trainees with in future cohorts.

Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify prospective client organizations, particularly federal organizations and regulated enterprises
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients from initial outreach through signed agreement
- Prepare and deliver pitch materials and program overviews to prospective client stakeholders
- Negotiate terms and coordinate handoff to leadership once a partnership is ready to formalize
- Track pipeline activity and follow-up cadence in the team's tracker

Qualifications
- 2+ years in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in a B2B or staffing context
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Comfortable managing a pipeline of prospective clients across long sales cycles
- Interest in or familiarity with workforce development
