General Manager- Lead Structural Design Engineer

Your Job Functions

As a Lead Structural Design Engineer for our Hydropower Product, you will be responsible for leading the structural design, analysis, review, and delivery of complex hydropower and water infrastructure projects. You will provide technical leadership to project teams, ensure quality and compliance of engineering deliverables, mentor engineers, and coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to deliver safe, sustainable, and cost-effective structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Structural Design & Analysis:

Lead Structural Design Activities: Lead the design and review of structures such as dams, barrages, spillways, intakes, surge shafts, powerhouses, machine foundations, hydraulic tunnels, and other facilities specific to hydropower projects.
Load Analysis: Oversee and perform detailed structural analyses considering water pressure, seismic activity, crane loads, wind loads, thermal effects, construction loads, and other operational conditions.
Material Selection:



Provide guidance on the selection of appropriate construction materials (concrete, steel, and composite materials) based on project requirements, durability, cost, and environmental conditions.
Structural Stability: Ensure the stability, safety, strength, serviceability, and long-term durability of structures under normal and extreme loading conditions, including floods and earthquakes.
Design Review & Verification: Review and approve structural calculations, design reports, drawings, and engineering documents prepared by team members.

2. Technical Evaluation & Review:

Lead and perform structural analysis, modelling, and design of hydropower infrastructure, including dams, spillways, penstocks, intake structures, surge shafts, tunnels, and powerhouses.
Guide the development and review of finite element analysis (FEA) models and advanced structural simulations.
