ICM Credit Risk Analyst – Financial Institutions
The ICM Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the credit risk management of a portfolio of Financial Institution relationships within Institutional Credit Management (ICM). The role involves conducting detailed credit analysis, monitoring portfolio performance, preparing credit approval documentation, and partnering with business and risk stakeholders to support sound credit decisions in line with Citi's risk appetite and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fundamental credit analysis of Financial Institution counterparties using quantitative and qualitative assessments, including evaluation of financial performance, asset quality, liquidity, capitalization, funding profile, and business strategy.
Prepare Annual Reviews, Quarterly Reviews, and other credit approval memoranda, ensuring timely and high-quality credit documentation.
Support the assessment and recommendation of Obligor Risk Ratings through independent analysis and application of Citi's credit risk framework.




Conduct ongoing monitoring of assigned relationships, identifying emerging risks, industry developments, rating triggers, and key risk indicators.
Analyze financial statements, regulatory filings, earnings releases, and market developments to evaluate changes in client creditworthiness.
Assist with portfolio reviews, stress testing exercises, industry studies, and regulatory-driven risk initiatives.
Escalate potential credit concerns and deterioration trends to senior team members in a timely manner.
Partner with 1LoD and 2LoD stakeholders to obtain information required for credit assessments and portfolio monitoring.
Ensure compliance with Citi's credit policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to a solid risk and control culture.
