HIRING | SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT – GENERAL LEDGER (GL/R2R)

ROLE: SME – GENERAL LEDGER / R2R
We are looking for an experienced Subject Matter Expert – General Ledger with strong Finance & Accounting expertise to manage, review and oversee accounting operations for US-based clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review General Ledger and month-end closing activities
Handle bank & balance sheet reconciliations, payroll accounting, income journals and sales tax activities
Review monthly financial reports and deliverables
Monitor and manage accounting activities performed by preparers
Track errors and prepare RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports
Identify and resolve unreconciled and aged items with internal teams and clients




Regularly interact with clients through emails and calls
Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial submissions
Monitor work allocation, productivity and monthly KPI metrics
Escalate pending issues to management when required
Ensure compliance with information security and control procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS
5–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting
Strong knowledge of GL / R2R processes
Strong accounting principles and reconciliation experience
Experience in reviewing/managing accounting activities
Client interaction & stakeholder management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Robust MS Excel skills
Knowledge of Oracle / M3 / Yardi is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication
