? WE’RE HIRING | COMMERCIAL SPECIALIST – SHIPPING & MARITIME

• First 3 months – Work from Home
• Thereafter – 1 day/week from the Gurugram office
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Specialist to drive business development and commercial activities within the shipping & maritime industry.
? Key Responsibilities
• Promote and market shipping agency services, including port calls & Suez Canal transits
• Develop and maintain relationships with shipowners, charterers, operators, commodity traders and maritime decision-makers
• Identify recent business opportunities and generate qualified leads
• Represent the organization at industry events and client meetings
• Negotiate rates, service prices and service levels
• Manage quotations and effectively close deals to convert opportunities into revenue
• Handle client queries and ensure high-quality customer service
• Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution
• Provide market intelligence, client feedback and commercial insights




• Prepare regular reports covering leads, progress, client feedback and market trends
• Stay updated with relevant operation tariffs and circulars
? NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS
❌ 5–10 years of relevant experience
❌ Experience specifically in the Maritime / Shipping industry
❌ Background in Shipping Agency Services and/or Business Development within Shipping
❌ Strong existing client network among shipowners, operators or commodity traders
❌ Solid understanding of Port Agency Operations
❌ Strong commercial negotiation and deal-closing capability
❌ Excellent English communication and presentation skills
❌ Willingness to work from Gurugram office 1 day per week after the initial 3 months
