Role overview -
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Analyst to support global fixed asset accounting, reporting, and analytics under the Global Asset Controller function. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate Fixed Asset Register (FAR), performing FAR-to-GL reconciliations, analyzing depreciation, monitoring asset transfers and movements, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies across global entities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) across global entities.
• Perform monthly FAR-to-GL reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare fixed asset MIS, analytics, and management reports.
• Analyze depreciation expenses and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Track asset additions, disposals, transfers, capitalization, and retirements.
• Monitor asset and material movements across locations/entities and ensure proper documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to fixed assets.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing required schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analytics for management reviews and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within asset accounting processes.
Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
• Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting and Reporting.
• Robust understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting, Capitalization, Depreciation, and Asset Lifecycle Management.
• Experience in FAR management and FAR-to-GL reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience with Asset Transfers, Asset Accounting, and Material Movement reporting.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle,
