Job Description – Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with robust expertise in automation, API testing, and test framework development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation solutions, strong Java programming skills, and a deep understanding of up-to-date test automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend testing.

Implement and enhance BDD (Cucumber) frameworks using Selenium and Java.

Write and maintain clear, reusable, and scalable test cases using Gherkin language.

Collaborate with developers, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Perform functional,



regression, and integration testing across multiple platforms.

Execute and maintain API testing and automation (REST, SOAP, Postman, RestAssured, etc.).

Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolutions.

Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning and reviews.

(Good to have) Contribute to performance testing initiatives using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

Ensure best practices for test automation and CI/CD integration are followed.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
