Job Purpose

The candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling engineering design for a material handling equipment manufacturing company with the use of In-depth experience of SolidWorks software

Responsibilities

Responsible for:

Responsible for: In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks software

Assisting production team/engineering staff in the design and development of components.

Interfacing with the engineering staff effectively to ensure the form, fit and function of designs while also working with the management to ensure cost effectiveness and manufacturability of designs.

Product Cost Analysis skills.

Preparing technical designs of products in accordance to the technical specifications received from clients and the sales team.

Reviewing and verifying design drawings and other technical documentation prepared by others to ensure correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function.

Using specialized software to create models and drawings of products.

Preparing BOM for all the products

-
Considering cost-effectiveness and safety of recent designs

Requisite Skills

-
1+ years’ experience in mechanical design

-
Knowledge of SolidWorks software

-
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes

-
Understanding of current cutting tool technology

Good Verbal & Written communication.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or related field

1-2 Years
