Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment including engines, hydraulic motors, pumps, compressors, and related systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on all assigned mechanical equipment.
- Conduct inspections and functional testing of mechanical equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
- Repair or replace defective, damaged, or worn components as required.
- Lubricate and service equipment according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs;, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and enter repair and maintenance data into the CMMS.
- Create work orders, maintenance requests, and equipment reports as required.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with supervisors and operations personnel.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures before operational impact occurs.
- Maintain adequate spare parts inventory and submit material requisitions as required.
- Operate workshop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machine tools when necessary
- Participate in emergency response activities, drills, and equipment recovery operations.
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and other safety procedures.
- Support operational readiness, equipment commissioning, and refurbishment projects as assigned.
- Provide leadership in promoting secure work practices and operational excellence.
