We’re looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Revenue & Platform Accounting team. In this role you’ll contribute to key areas of StockX order-to-cash, spanning payment processor reconciliations, exception resolution, and other revenue related transactions across the StockX platform (a high volume, multi-currency global marketplace). You’ll work at the intersection of accounting and data, partnering closely with business teams to stay ahead of platform changes and design processes to accurately account for existing and recent products. With revenue touching all parts of the business, this role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with business teams to shape how accounting scales inside a fast-paced company and be a champion for our customers, external and internal alike.
What you’ll do
- Perform end-to-end monthly close responsibilities for StockX platform activity including preparation and posting of journal entries,
reconciliation of payment processor receivables, and reconciliation of associated balance sheet accounts
- Collaborate internally and with cross-functional business partners to streamline processes and contribute to an efficient, effective, and accurate month end close
- Research and drive resolution of exceptions with key cross-functional stakeholders in Customer Service, Inventory Control, and Transportation
- Assist with external audit requests, including preparing supporting schedules and documentation
- Partner with Data Engineering and Product teams to implement accounting changes stemming from platform and product updates, designing data flows, proactively flagging exposures, and addressing exceptions as encountered
- Participate in special projects, user acceptance testing for new products, and analysis and reporting as needed
- Help shape the future of the Platform Accounting team as a global workforce
