What does a successful Java Developer do at fiserv?
What will you do:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable Java applications.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to solution design.
- Hands-on coding, debugging, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time.
- Implement best practices for coding standards, performance optimization, and security.
- Work on reducing technical debt and improving code quality using tools like SonarQube and Fortify.
- Support production systems and ensure timely resolution of issues.
What will you need to know:
- Core Technologies:
- Java 8+
- UI frameworks: Angular 8+ or similar (ReactJS, etc.)
- Application frameworks: Spring Boot, Quarkus, ORM frameworks
- Microservices architecture
- Web Services: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
- Tools: Putty, SOAPUI, Postman
- DevOps: GitLab or similar CI/CD tools
- Cloud Platforms: experience in any one platform ( AWS, Azure, GCP )
Preferred Skills:
- Code Quality & Security: SonarQube, Fortify, WebInspect
- Design Patterns & Architecture: SOA, Microservices, Event-driven programming, Hexagonal architecture
- Build Tools: Maven, Ant, Gradle
