What you'll do

The Storage as a Service (STaaS) team builds Docusign's internal platform to enable product teams to use storage without managing cloud-provider implementation details. Docusign is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for the platform, with deep ownership of Redis/Valkey and messaging capabilities. In this role,



you will lead architecture and implementation across the STaaS control, data, and management planes. You will build cloud-agnostic abstractions backed by services like Azure Managed Redis and Google Pub/Sub using consistent APIs, sidecars, and gateways. Additionally, you will partner with teams to set technical direction, mentor engineers, and balance developer experience with performance, security, and cost.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering.

- Lead the architecture, technical strategy, and delivery of STaaS capabilities, with primary ownership of Redis/Valkey and queuing or messaging services
- Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency Redis/Valkey platform services for caching, persistent key/value workloads, distributed coordination, and other internal use cases
