Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.

* Build scalable solutions using PHP, WordPress core APIs, hooks, filters, custom post types, and taxonomies.

* Develop and maintain custom Gutenberg / Block Editor blocks and contemporary content-editing experiences.

* Integrate WordPress with third-party systems such as REST APIs, CRMs, payment gateways, marketing tools, and analytics platforms.

* Optimize websites for performance, SEO readiness, accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals.

* Implement WordPress security best practices, patching, permissions management, and site hardening.

* Troubleshoot complex production issues, plugin conflicts, deployment problems, and performance bottlenecks.

* Collaborate with UI/UX, QA, product, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.

* Review code,



define standards, mentor developers, and support technical delivery across projects.

* Contribute to estimation, architecture decisions, release planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

* 5+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, including senior-level ownership of web projects.

* Strong proficiency in PHP, WordPress, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

* Proven experience in custom theme and custom plugin development.

* Hands-on experience with Gutenberg / Block Editor and modern WordPress architecture.

* Strong knowledge of WordPress REST API and third-party integration patterns.

* Experience with ACF, custom post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, hooks, filters, and template hierarchy.
