Job Description – Power BI Developer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer with robust SQL expertise to support data visualization, reporting, and analytics initiatives. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to deliver meaningful insights through robust data models and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable data models and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and validation using SQL.
- Develop optimized SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting solutions.
- Implement best practices for data visualization, usability, and performance optimization.




- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, performance, and reporting issues.
- Work closely with data engineering and upstream teams to align data structures and definitions.
- Continuously upskill and mentor junior team members across different technical skill sets.

Mandatory Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in Power BI (Dashboards, Data Modeling, DAX)
- Proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, views, stored procedures)
- Experience in data modeling and designing ERDs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good to Have:
- Experience working with large datasets / data warehousing concepts
- Understanding of ETL processes
- Exposure to performance tuning and optimization

Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science / IT or related field
