PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :

The role will provide dedicated procurement support to Y-TWS Indirect Procurement by acting as the local sourcing interface across India and Sri Lanka. The position will support strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier scouting, benchmarking, RFQ execution, supplier development and project execution in close alignment with the Y-TWS Indirect Purchasing Director while maintaining an operational reporting line within OHT Procurement. This position will support the execution of strategic sourcing opportunities and category plans defined by Y-TWS, leveraging local market knowledge and supplier proximity in coordination with the OHT Indirect Procurement Team.

KEY RESULT AREAS :
- Support the development and execution of strategic category plans defined by the Y-TWS Indirect Procurement organization.
- Support sourcing initiatives by coordinating local RFQs, supplier interactions and commercial negotiations in alignment with Y-TWS procurement strategy.
- Support supplier identification, benchmarking, qualification and development activities across India and Sri Lanka.




- Develop negotiation plans aligned with stakeholder desired outcomes for TCO, SLAs and key business terms (INCO Terms etc.)
- Set governance mechanism to review buyer/supplier performance specifically for PR/PO status, delivery performance, commissioning, budget governance, savings and Payment issues
- Manage process compliance during all phases of ordering to ensure that are no audit observations/process gaps
- Influence decision makers at all levels by presenting business case, spend-cost analysis and performance metrics

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Mandatory : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Desired : MBA or Diploma in Materials Management

WORK EXPERIENCE :
- At least 5yrs of sourcing and negotiation experience in India or overseas manufacturing organization
- 3-5 Experience in Shop floor or user type profile is desirable
