Tips & examples of what not to ask/write when interviewing or writing job specs
- Avoid specifying a requirement for a particular number of years' experience in a certain area, as this indirectly relates to the candidate's age – write/state, for example "solid experience with" or "experience of at least 2 large implementation projects"
- If there is a specific language requirement for a role, avoid specifying a need for a "native speaker", as this directly relates to the candidate's nationality – instead, ask for a "fluent speaker" or whatever level of fluency you desire.
- If there is travel involved in the role, try to assess the candidate's willingness for this without asking details of their personal life/home situation including wife, children etc

Additional Interview Tips

If you have CVs of persons (electronic or paper copy) who have already been made an offer, those that did not make the cut or those that were not considered for a position – Delete/destroy all
