Job Title – Senior Manager - Model Controls Engineer

The Purpose of This Role
The Model Assurance Testing and Controls team is responsible for independently validating analytical models, testing model outputs, and strengthening controls that support Fidelity's Financial Crimes Compliance programs. As a Senior Manager, Model Controls Engineer, you will work closely with data scientists, engineers, compliance partners, and risk stakeholders to ensure model outputs are accurate, explainable, and consistently performing as expected. Your work will help strengthen governance, improve data quality, and support regulatory and audit readiness across the organization.

- Executing independent model testing by running replicated model workflows and comparing results against production outputs
- Investigating, documenting, and validating discrepancies between production and test environments
- Evaluating model behavior and outputs to ensure consistency, reliability, and alignment with expected outcomes
- Analyzing large datasets to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and potential data drift
- Developing and enhancing automated testing, reconciliation, and monitoring capabilities
- Supporting audit and regulatory activities through transparent, traceable, and well-documented validation processes
