Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Backend Lead to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, along with strong hands-on experience in system design, software architecture, and building scalable backend systems.
The candidate will be responsible for driving the technical design and development of complex backend applications, while also providing technical leadership to the engineering team. Beyond coding, this role requires someone who understands the product and business context, can translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and has experience leading and mentoring engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and develop robust microservices-based architectures with a focus on scalability, reliability,



performance, and maintainability.
- Own and drive system design and architecture for complex products and business requirements.
- Evaluate technical requirements and translate them into effective, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Work closely with Product, Business, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of the product, business domain, customer needs, and technical trade-offs while making architectural decisions.
- Lead technical discussions and make decisions around architecture, technology selection, design patterns, APIs, databases, scalability, and performance.
- Review existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, scalability, and reliability improvements.
