About the role

As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing, and maintaining complex WordPress websites, including WooCommerce stores, membership-based platforms, custom integrations, and data migration projects. You will build custom plugins, themes, and integrations, ensure robust backend functionality, and mentor peers to maintain code quality and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Build custom WordPress plugins, themes, templates, widgets, shortcodes, and reusable components from scratch.

Develop and maintain WooCommerce-based eCommerce solutions, including customized checkout, payment, product, and order workflows.

Build and support membership and subscription-based WordPress platforms.

Develop backend functionality using PHP and MySQL, following WordPress coding standards and development best practices.

Plan and execute data migrations from legacy platforms or other CMS/eCommerce systems into WordPress.

Optimize websites for performance, scalability, caching,



Core Web Vitals, and security.

Conduct peer code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and maintainable architecture.

Work closely with Project Managers, Designers, QA, and other developers throughout the development lifecycle.

Maintain appropriate technical documentation and follow established SDLC, deployment, and version-control processes.

Estimate development effort, identify technical risks, and proactively communicate dependencies or blockers.

Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance when required.

Stay current with evolving WordPress technologies, development practices, AI-assisted development tools, security standards, and industry trends.
