About the Role

Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Implement robust input validation, DTOs, and request/response schemas.
- Build and maintain database models, relationships, and migrations.
- Integrate third-party services (storage, auth, external APIs).
- Implement middleware, guards, interceptors, and exception handling.
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams.
- Debug production issues and improve backend code quality.
- Participate in architectural decisions and backend design reviews.

Required SkillsCore Backend Tech
- Node.js:
- NestJS:
- TypeScript

API & Validation
- REST API design principles
- DTOs and validation using class-validator, class-transformer, or Zod
- API documentation using Swagger / OpenAPI

Architecture & Patterns
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts:
- Dependency Injection (DI) and inversion of control
- Modular and layered architecture
- Middleware, guards, pipes, and interceptors in NestJS

Database & ORM
- Experience with Prisma / TypeORM / MikroORM:
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL:

Node.js Fundamentals
- How Node.js works internally
- Event loop
- Async I/O
- Promises & async/await
- Error handling and memory considerations

- Background jobs / queues
