- Purpose of the role:
The Platform Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining the security, stability, and performance of Pico’s internal infrastructure and client trading platforms. The role focuses on supporting mission‑critical trading environments, including the investigation and resolution of operating system, platform, and hardware issues that impact client trading services.
Responsibilities and duties_(including but not limited to)_
- Provide operational support across Pico’s infrastructure and platform services, including client trading environments,
to ensure systems run at optimal performance and consistently meet defined KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure the stability, availability, and reliability of platform services in a 24x7 production trading environment.
- Act as second-line support, performing technical investigation, triage, and expert-level troubleshooting of platform and client systems.
- Take end-to-end ownership of incidents and service requests logged in the Pico ticketing system through to resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis of platform incidents and contribute to permanent fixes and preventative improvements.
- Deliver a high standard of operational service and maintain robust relationships with internal teams and external customers.
- Interface with vendors, market participants, and financial exchanges to support platform operations and resolve technical issues.
