The Rohru Centre serves as a residential and rehabilitation facility providing educational, developmental, and life-skills support to children and adults with disabilities. The centre emphasizes holistic development through academics, recreation, creativity, life-skills, and community engagement.
Position Summary
The Activity Teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting educational, recreational, cultural, creative, sports,
and life-skills activities for students with visual impairment and other disabilities. The role aims to promote physical, emotional, social, and creative development while enhancing confidence, independence, teamwork, and self-expression among students.
The Activity Teacher will work closely with Special Educators, Wardens, Helpers, and other staff members to ensure that activities are inclusive, accessible, engaging, and aligned with the developmental needs of participants.
Key ResponsibilitiesActivity Planning and Implementation
- Design and conduct structured activity programs for students across different age groups and abilities.
- Develop monthly and annual activity plans aligned with the centre’s educational and rehabilitation goals.
