Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary

The Junior Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting Operations
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Verify and process purchase, sales, and expense invoices.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.

2. Accounts Payable
- Process vendor bills and payment vouchers.
- Verify supporting documents before processing payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.




- Maintain ageing reports for outstanding payables.

3. Accounts Receivable
- Generate customer invoices.
- Follow up on pending collections.
- Record customer receipts and adjustments.
- Prepare debtor ageing reports.

4. Bank & Cash Management
- Perform daily bank reconciliation.
- Record cash and bank transactions accurately.
- Monitor petty cash expenses and maintain supporting records.
- Assist in fund transfer documentation.

5. Taxation & Compliance
- Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns.
- Maintain GST input-output records.
- Support TDS calculations, deductions, and return filings.
- Coordinate for statutory audits and provide required documents.

6. Financial Reporting
- Assist in monthly closing activities.
- Prepare MIS reports and schedules.
- Support preparation of financial statements.
- Provide data and analysis as required by management.
