Role Summary:
Main Tasks:
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Maintain and optimize database environments (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Ensure database security through access control, encryption, auditing, and vulnerability management.
- Implement and monitor backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability wherever necessary.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Participate in Change management processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
- Good to have Management and support of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence as an administrator
- Working Knowledge about O365

Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).




- Experience in database security practices including role-based access, encryption, and compliance.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar) for automation and monitoring.
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and monitoring platforms (Icinga, Splunk, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and container technologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexibility to work in US business hours (EST)
