Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ecommerce Accountant to manage financial operations related to our online sales channels. The role involves handling marketplace reconciliations, payment gateway settlements, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for ecommerce transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Reconciliation

Reconcile sales, returns, commissions, and settlements from platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, etc.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in payouts, fees, and deductions.

Payment Gateway Accounting

Reconcile transactions from payment gateways (Razorpay, PayU, Stripe, etc.)

Track settlement cycles and ensure proper accounting entries.

Sales & Revenue Accounting

Record daily sales, refunds, discounts, and promotional adjustments.

Maintain accurate revenue recognition as per accounting standards.

Ensure proper tax treatment for ecommerce transactions (TCS, reverse charge,



etc.)

Inventory & COGS Tracking

Coordinate with operations for inventory valuation and cost tracking

Monitor stock movement and ensure alignment with financial records

Expense & Commission Accounting

Account for marketplace fees, logistics charges, and advertising expenses

Analyze cost structures and highlight areas for optimization

MIS & Reporting

Prepare monthly financial reports, sales analysis, and profitability reports by platform

Provide insights on margins, returns, and operational efficiency

Assist in internal and external audits

Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with company policies

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce

2-5 years of experience in ecommerce or digital business accounting.

Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software

Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data re
