Position Overview:
An English Teacher specializing in reading skills plays a crucial role in enhancing students’ ability to read, comprehend, and analyze various forms of English texts. The primary responsibility is to support students, particularly expats and those from non-English speaking backgrounds, in improving their reading proficiency for both academic and everyday purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
Reading Instruction:
- Develop and implement lesson plans focused on improving reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency.
- Teach students how to approach different types of texts (e.g., fiction, non-fiction, technical documents).
- Use various reading strategies, such as skimming, scanning, summarizing, and predicting, to improve understanding.
- Assessment & Feedback:
- Assess students' reading levels using formal and informal tools,



identifying areas of strength and those needing improvement.
- Provide regular, constructive feedback on reading exercises and assignments.
- Track student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
- Tailored Support:
- Work with students who face difficulties in reading, providing additional support through one-on-one tutoring sessions, group work, or specialized resources.
- Address language barriers that may affect reading, especially for students from Asia-Pacific or non-native English speakers.
- Engagement & Motivation:
- Foster a love for reading by introducing engaging texts that align with students’ interests and cultural backgrounds.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
