An ice cream manufacturing company driver is responsible for safely transporting frozen products, managing cold chain logistics (maintaining temperature), and conducting inventory checks. Duties include loading/unloading, cleaning the vehicle, route planning, and often sales or delivery to retail locations
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics & Safety: Safely transport ice cream products, ensuring the vehicle’s freezer unit maintains proper temperatures to prevent spoilage.
- Inventory & Loading: Load and unload goods, conducting inventory checks of stock and supplies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning, safety inspections, and report any vehicle damage or maintenance needs.
- Route Planning: Plan effective delivery routes to meet scheduled delivery times.
- Compliance: Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain logs of mileage,
fuel, and, in some cases, sales/inventory records.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- License: Valid Driver's License (e.g., Light Motor Vehicle - LMV).
- Experience: Experience in transport, logistics, or cold chain management.
- Physical Strength: Ability to load and unload heavy cartons of ice cream.
- Reliability: Good communication skills and a safe driving record.
Typical Roles
- Distributor/Route Driver: Delivering stock to retail outlets or parlours.
- Ice Cream Truck Driver: Selling directly to consumers, which includes operating a cash register and serving products.
Pay: Up to ₹20,000.00 per month
