Job Summary
The Assistant Training & Placement Officer supports the Training & Placement Cell in coordinating student placements, internships, and industry engagement activities. The role focuses on facilitating recruitment processes, strengthening industry partnerships, and preparing students for professional careers in design and creative fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate campus placements, internships, and recruitment schedules.
- Connect with companies to secure job and internship opportunities.
- Maintain accurate student, recruiter, and placement databases.
- Organize interviews, assessments, and recruitment logistics.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and recruiters.
- Support industry collaborations and institutional MoUs.
- Guide students on resumes, portfolios, and interview preparation.
- Conduct placement orientations and assist in career development programs.
- Coordinate employability and soft-skills training with faculty.
- Arrange guest lectures and industry interaction sessions.
- Track placement outcomes and prepare periodic reports.
- Manage placement communications, documentation, and feedback records.
- Assist in placement events, exhibitions, and industry visits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Management, HR, Communication, or related field.
- Relevant experience in Corporate Relationship Management, placement coordination, HR, recruitment or academic administration preferred.
- Understanding of creative/design industry practices is desirable.
Skills
- Solid communication and coordination skills.
- Organizational and documentation proficiency.
- MS Office and Google Workspace knowledge.
- Networking and stakeholder management ability.
- Student-focused and collaborative approach.
Experience
2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
