Key Responsibilities
- Identify fire hazards associated with flammable chemicals, solvents, resins, thinners, and petrochemical materials.
- Implement fire prevention strategies and ensure compliance with fire safety standards.
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments and safety inspections across plant areas.
- Ensure operational readiness and maintenance of firefighting systems.
- Monitor inspection schedules and maintain records of all firefighting equipment.
- Develop and implement Fire Emergency Response Plans.
- Conduct periodic mock fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Ensure emergency exits, assembly points, and evacuation routes are clearly marked and accessible.
- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Fire Safety Rules, Petroleum Rules, and local Fire Department regulations.
- Coordinate with external agencies and authorities during safety inspections and audits.
- Maintain fire NOCs and statutory safety documentation.
Required Skills:
- Diploma / Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering / Industrial Safety / Fire Technology
- Additional certifications in NEBOSH / IOSH / Fire Safety Management will be an advantage.
- 15+ years of experience in Fire Safety / Industrial Safety.
- Mandatory experience in Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, or Paint Manufacturing industry.
- Experience handling safety requirements for flammable liquids and hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of fire safety systems and firefighting techniques
- Understanding of hazardous chemicals and petrochemical safety protocols
- Fire risk assessment and incident investigation skills
