Job Title: Staff Nurse - ICU

Department: Neuro ICU

Job Summary:
The ICU Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality, critical care to Neuro patients with life-threatening conditions. The role involves continuous monitoring, administering treatments, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in the ICU setting.

Key Responsibilities:Patient Care & Monitoring
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU.
- Monitor vital signs (ECG, BP, SpO₂, CVP, etc.) and record observations accurately.
- Identify early signs of deterioration and inform doctors immediately.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient condition and care provided.

Clinical Procedures
- Assist in advanced life support procedures (CPR, intubation, ventilator management).
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products as prescribed.
- Handle ICU equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, defibrillators, monitors, etc.
- Ensure infection control practices and aseptic techniques are strictly followed.





Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with doctors, consultants, and other healthcare staff.
- Communicate patient condition updates to family members as guided by doctors.
- Participate in ward rounds and implement treatment plans.

Patient Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure strict adherence to patient safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in ICU.
- Follow biomedical waste management protocols.

Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain patient records, nursing notes, and ICU charts.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and legal requirements.

Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution
- Valid Nursing Registration Certificate
