Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Officer - Furniture Factory

Department: Production / Quality Assurance

Location: Manesar

Reports to: Factory Manager

Job Summary

The QC Officer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all furniture products by conducting inspections at various stages of production, identifying defects, implementing quality standards, and coordinating with production and design teams to maintain consistent quality output.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Monitoring:
- Conduct quality checks during in-process production, pre-finishing, and post-finishing stages.
- Ensure all incoming raw materials (wood, laminates, hardware, etc.) meet the required quality standards.
- Final quality check before dispatch to ensure defect-free deliveries.
- Quality Standards & Documentation:
- Develop and maintain QC checklists for different product categories.
- Record and report quality issues with photographic evidence and detailed notes.
- Maintain logs of defects, rejections, and corrective actions taken.
- Coordination & Communication:




- Work closely with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
- Communicate feedback to floor supervisors and workers to prevent recurring issues.
- Process Improvement:
- Suggest improvements to minimize wastage and increase product consistency.
- Monitor adherence to safety, quality, and environmental compliance norms.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of QC experience in furniture manufacturing or a similar industry
- Good understanding of wood types, joinery, finishes (laminate, veneer, polish), and hardware
- Eye for detail and solid observational skills
- Ability to use measuring tools like calipers, moisture meters, squares, etc.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and documentation practices
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Furniture Technology preferred
