Job Summary:
Operate and maintain laser cutting/engraving machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications, drawings, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate laser cutting/engraving machines (CNC laser, fiber laser, CO₂ laser, etc.)
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders
- Load materials (metal, acrylic, wood, etc.) and ensure proper alignment
- Adjust machine settings such as speed, power, and focus for optimal performance
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy
- Inspect finished products using measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major faults
- Maintain production records and report output
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Skills & Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of CNC/laser machine operations
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills (CAD/CAM knowledge is a plus)
- Physical ability to handle materials and stand for long periods
Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related field (preferred)
- Prior experience in laser cutting or CNC operation is an advantage
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing or fabrication unit
- May involve shift work and exposure to noise, heat, and industrial equipment
