1. Position Summary

The Miller is the senior-most operational leader of the plant and is responsible for complete production operations, including raw material procurement planning, processing, quality compliance, manpower management, cost control, finished goods dispatch, and customer coordination.

The role ensures maximum productivity, quality compliance, operational efficiency, and profitability of the organization.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Raw Material Procurement & Planning
- Plan procurement of wheat/grains and other raw materials as per production schedule.
- Coordinate with procurement department for vendor selection and evaluation.
- Monitor quality parameters at procurement stage.
- Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid production interruptions.
- Approve inward quality reports in coordination with QA/QC.

B. Production Planning & Execution
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Ensure smooth running of milling sections (cleaning, conditioning, grinding, blending, packing).
- Monitor extraction rate, yield %, wastage %, and power consumption.




- Optimize plant capacity utilization.
- Control production cost per MT.
- Ensure preventive maintenance coordination with engineering team.
- Implement process improvements for higher efficiency.

C. Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- FSSAI standards
- GMP & HACCP practices
- Internal Quality SOPs
- Coordinate with QA/QC for:
- In-process quality checks
- Finished goods approval
- Customer specifications adherence
- Handle customer complaints related to quality and implement corrective actions.

D. Dispatch & Supply Chain Coordination
- Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams.
- Monitor FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Ensure accurate documentation (batch records, COA, invoices, dispatch notes).
- Track dispatch schedule vs production schedule.

E. Client Coordination & Expediting
- Act as primary operational contact for key client
