Educational Qualification
- ITI in Tool & Die OR:
- Diploma in Tool & Die / Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die specialization)
Experience
- 0 to 2 years of experience in a Tool Room or manufacturing setup
- Freshers with relevant ITI/Diploma training can also apply
Key Skills & Competencies
- Basic operation of Tool Room machines such as:
- Lathe Machine
- Milling Machine
- Drilling Machine
- Cutting machines
- DRO (Digital Read Out) machines
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
- Knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometre, Dial Gauge, etc.)
- Basic understanding of tool maintenance and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate Tool Room machines as per job requirements and instructions
- Assist in manufacturing, fitting, and maintenance of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
- Perform basic machining operations like cutting, drilling, grinding, and turning
- Ensure accuracy and quality of components as per drawings and specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Tool Room area
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies at all times
- Support senior technicians and supervisors in Tool Room activities
- Report machine issues, tool wear, or defects to the supervisor
