We are hiring for a Output Editor - News Department
Experience : 5+ years
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Journalism / Mass Communication / Related field
- Prior experience in TV/Digital newsroom preferred
Salary Package: Upto 7.2 LPA
The Output Editor is responsible for overseeing the final content output of the news desk, ensuring accuracy, clarity, editorial quality, and timely delivery across all platforms (TV/Digital/Print). The role involves coordinating with reporters, input desk, producers, and graphic teams to deliver high-quality news content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, edit, and approve news scripts before publication/broadcast
- Ensure factual accuracy, language quality, and editorial standards
- Coordinate with reporters, input desk, and anchors for story development
- Prioritize and manage breaking news situations effectively
- Monitor live feeds and ensure smooth newsroom workflow
- Write and rewrite headlines, tickers, and summaries
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines
- Supervise bulletin lineup and rundown preparation
- Maintain quality control for scripts, visuals, and graphics
- Meet daily deadlines under pressure
Requirements:
- Strong command of language (English/Tamil - preferred)
- Excellent news judgment and editorial decision-making
- Ability to work in rapid-paced newsroom environment
- Strong coordination and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of newsroom software and broadcast systems
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
